Brake system is the most important part in a useful vehicle for safety. Because brakes are the components of a vehicle that is used to reduce vehicle speed.
Just imagine if we had a car that no system of brakes, what happened? Will continue driving the car could not stop ... Alamak! if you are like most efektik way to stop the vehicle speed is throwing an anchor to a pole electric car definitely stopped, sorry this way is not recommended because when my friend where no power lines, later even grandma grandmother in the sidewalk keseret ... wkwkwk biggrin
Sorry, back to the topic of the brake system smile

Brake systems in automotive engineering is a system that serves to:
1. Reduce vehicle speed.
2. Stopping the vehicle is running.
3. Keeping the vehicle remained stopped.

The main components in the brake system consists of:
- The brake pedal or brake lever. Amplifier (booster).
- Master cylinder (master cylinder).
- Braking or cable channels (lines).
Brake system itself is divided into three types:
1. Mechanical Brake System

Brake system Brake System Mechanic is the most simple and not too much wear components. This brake system is generally used for small vehicles and old vehicles. The most important component in the brake system is the type of mechanical brake shoe, brake lever and wire / cross. Mechanical Brake system easier in maintenance and repair due to the simple construction. Movement of the thrust levers will be forwarded to the brake shoes by using wire / seling, the stronger / longer lever moves the stronger the push drum brake shoes or trajectory.
2. Hydraulic Brake System

Brake system Hydraulic brake system that uses a liquid fluid media as media conductor / channeling movement. Hydraulic brake system is very complicated and need regular maintenance because the components prone to damage, if there is damage / leaks in hoses or connections it will disrupt the channeling of fluid flow cycle or work from hirolik Brake System. The most important component in the Hydraulic Brake Systems Brake Shoes, Master Cylinder, Cylinder Actuactor, and Tuas. Hydraulic Brake System works ie when the lever brakes on the movement of the lever will continue to master Cylinder, Master Cylinder in a change of the kinetic energy into pressure on the brake fluid which is then forwarded to the past Actuactor Cylinder hose / high pressure pipes, after pressure up in Actuactor Cylinder compression force then converted back into motion / kinetic by Actuactor Cylinder brake shoes to move to suppress the drum / disc braking process to occur.
3. Pneumatic Brake System
10513rem4.jpg
Pneumatic Brake System is a system that uses brake fluid medium gas as conductor / distributor movement. In this construction system is not too complicated because the hydraulic brake system is a supplemental brake system to help the vehicle brake system.Hydraulic brake system is generally installed on heavy vehicles and large because it requires huge braking power as well. The most important component in the brake system is the compressor, high pressure hose, and regulator valve.
Type / Brake type is divided into two, namely:
1. Brake Discs / Plates (Brake Disc)
10513rem5.jpg
Disc brakes are braking devices used in modern vehicles. It works by clamping the brake disc is usually attached to the wheels of the vehicle, used to clamp the disc caliper piston-driven to push the brake shoes (brake pads) to the disc. Brake type is also used on trains, motorcycles, bicycles. In the race car materials used are usually of ceramic to be more resistant to the heat generated during the braking process.
2. Brake Drum (Drum Brake)

Brake drum used on the previous type vehicle, but usually also used to brake the rear of the vehicle. Drum brakes consist of a brake housing components / drums and brake pads, drum brake is how brakes work on the basis of friction between the brake shoe and drum that rotates with the wheel vehicle. Friction in order to slow the vehicle properly, the brake shoes are made of a material having a high coefficient of friction. Drum brakes are usually used on the rear wheel cars or trucks that carry heavy loads.
